Shelli at Market My Words is holding an incredible competition where the winner gets a personal recommendation to her agent, Alyssa Henkin at Tridant Media!

To enter, check it out here.

Here is my entry (a pitch with no more than 4 sentences):

---
Azrael might be vertically challenged and have a serious bully problem, but when Kali, a girl from another land, saves his life, he can’t help but wonder if his luck is changing. He’s never met anyone like her before, and despite an impending war between their countries, he can’t help falling for her. But relationship with Kali is not only forbidden; it’s treasonous, and Azrael learns that some people will stop at nothing to keep them apart. Not even murder.
---

Also, I'd like to take the opportunity to "pay it forward" and thank some people who've helped me in my writing:

Firstly, thanks to Deven - without her critiques my manuscript would probably be gathering dust and remain unfinished forever!

And thanks to Carrie from Peevish Penman, without whom I would have not spent many hours on twitter procrastinating about said manuscript.

Any also thanks to everyone at kiwiwriters.org.  Without them, I may not have ever felt inspired enough to start the manuscript, let alone finish it!

So go writerly friends. Go enter competitions, write lots and pay it forward in good old bloggery fashion.

Hi JJ. All the best with this contest. I can't enter as it's not my forte. I like your pitch. Denise:)
